Default Tracks Muting During Bounce

So, I'm trying to bounce a track and I notice my kick tracks are suddenly missing in the mix. During normal playback everything is there, but as soon as I start the bounce they're totally missing. Only noticed the drums. Not sure if there are other tracks having the same issue, but there could be.

Not sure what other pertinent information to include...

PT10.3.5
iMac (2010) 4GB of Ram 3.06GHz OSX 10.6.8

A mysterious routing issue, maybe? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem a few months ago after I first bought PT 10.
I'm not saying this is it for sure, but:

-Check your tracks for mute automation, hopefully you find some where it shouldn't be.
-Check your automation (selector? I'm not sure what its called, but the drop down on the kick track that says "off, read, touch, latch, write"

Once you get rid of the misplaced muted automation, it should be fine in your bounce.

The reason you would be hearing it in your playback would be because that automation selector mentioned earlier was set to "off", which tells pro tools to ignore all automation on that track during playback
However, during the bounce it will resume to read mode(as a safeguard, maybe?)

Hope that's what was wrong!

-Mitch

Routing is the other thing to check
maybe your selecting a buss but some of the tracks are going to outputs?

Thanks for the replies!

Couldn't find any mute automation on the track. Deleted any automation that was there, if any, and still nothing. Set the automation mode to "auto off."

Concerning routing, I have all of my drum tracks bussed to an aux w/ Bus 21-22 as its input, and that's routed to my main outputs...

What's confusing is that it works totally fine during playback but during bounce it freaks out. Is there an update I should consider getting? Would PT11 do the trick?

When you bounce it only picks one buss or output
there is the 10.3.7 update but I do think this is a setup problem, maybe a preference corruption problem

could you post screen shots of your routing? make sure there not to small or there is no detail to read the labeling

Maybe try routing everything to a stereo bus and recording that to a new stereo track, just to see what happens. Also, double-check your IO settings as I was recently bit by a session started on another system. My IO actually had 2 paths labeled MainOut, so everything LOOKED fine, and playback sounded fine. BUT, every time I ran a bounce, the file had almost no bass. Turns out the bass track was feeding the duplicate path that was a bus, and for whatever reason, the BTD ignored it.
