Hi all,
I've just upgraded to Pro Tools LE 8 w/ Mbox 2 mini and moved my setup to a Dell studio 17 laptop running Vista Ultimate 32bit playing back from a 500gb external SATA HDD. On playback i get the good ole' '...system held off interrupts for too long, increase your H/W buffer size'. (-9093)' Then predictably when I increase the buffer size I get 'Audio processing is conflicting with other CPU tasks. if this occurs often reduce the H/W buffer size (-9129)'. Troubleshooting wise so far I've done the following:
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Sandra report is posted below... |

5400 rpm hard drive is a no-go. The throughput isn't fast enough. Audio drives must be 7200 rpm.

I see a 7200 RPM (H:) drive, is that the one you use for Audio?
Have you turned off your WIFI when using PT? Same for the Bluetooth?

Yes the 7200rpm (H:) is the drive used for for audio, the 5400rpm is the internal OS drive.
Yeah I always have the wifi and bluetooth disabled when using PT. |
