Default M-Powered + M-Audio KeyStudio 49i

I recently purchased Pro Tools M-Powered 7 and the KeyStudio 49i. I followed step by step on installing everything, but when opening the pro tools application i receive a message that reads "Unable to locate M-Audio Hardware. Make sure your hardware is connected and turned on." Im confused because it is connected and its driving me crazy!

Can anyone help me out?

Mac OS X
Version 10.4.11
2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM

Are you running M-Powered 7.4? Have you installed the latest driver for the 49i? Does the 49i control panel recognize the device as connected?

The 49i is an audio interface keyboard, and is supported with M-Powered 7.4 according to its product page:

Hey there,

I think you may need an audio input device, i.e. solo, 1814 etc., to get the program running.

My experience with ptmp is my solo and the pmio get it to work. My 49 and 88 are controllers for instruments, midi etc.

The solo is a pretty good input device and is reasonably priced.

hope this helps,

Regards, Bob

You need to donwload the latest usb drivers from m-audio. if you choose drivers for the keystudio49i you will not get the latest drivers: I downloaded a standalone driver from the m-audio site, and after that PTMP has warked flawessly on my macbook, and that´s even with 10.5.1 (However, not all plug-ins work..)

So search the download area for USB drivers and you should be fine.
