Easiest workaround (other than building multicams correctly) seems to be to export an OMF (which seems to bounce the multicam bus output, rather than consolidate its sources.

It's more a PP multicam problem, rather than an AAF problem (as you get the same problem in the PP timeline if you flatten it*).

The dual mono issue seems to be an AAF problem, TBD if it's prem export or PT import at fault. (Although OP did say that importing offending AAF back into PP was stereo.)

*Although you say your editor fixed it by flattening? So maybe this is a different PP bug.
Probably and I hear ya! We were on a fast track to get this done in hours because of a month delay. I did not have this issue before, but not really an expert with the Premier software, but the OMF always works. Thanks and I will pass what you said on. The job is out the door, so all good!

Horrible to hear about errors that are "introduced"...

Regarding OMF - wow, feels a bit vintage - that doesn't pass along all metadata, or does it now? Timecode, scene/take name, clip name from the actual WAV file...

I thought I remembered AAF with media files folder in broadcast WAV worked best for this... but maybe this is me mixing up Resolve tests too.

Reread this, as I'm back troubleshooting AAF.

I exported Prem Pro AAF and imported back into PP and anything other than mono clips does indeed double up the first track - so LL instead of LR.

Avid MC AAF -> PP seemed OK with 2xmono/stereo sources
