Make sure you get a signed Transfer of Ownership form from the seller so that you can re-register the hardware in your name.

Any iLok authorized plug-ins can be transfered by the seller to your iLok account. NB. PACE charge the transferor for this service and the seller may want to pass this onto you.

There's a bit more info on the Digi site,

thanks.
this is all rather complicated.
the form thing seems easy......

but the factory bundle.....ilock thing........ i dont fully trust this will work easily for me........if i buy it all second hand..........

"I can just change the name and address in the iLok to yours or give you the login I created for it though it will authorize the plugins anyway I think."

is it worth me registering the mbox2 under my name? or shall i just use what i get....... in whoevers name it is........ he says its all included....7.4.2....plugins etc.........

why is everything hard?

Technically, the hardware should work as the seller proposes. Personally, I like to have the registrations transfered so as to cover all eventualities (e.g balance of warranty, upgrade paths, selling on etc).
