I see there is a new Mac Mini with M4 Pro Chip, and had a bud recommend I should look into it for my new system.
If you saw my other post, I'm about to embark on a cold-restart of my pro tools system, upgrading from a 10-year-old MacBook pro with 16gb ram. It's done wonders for me and continues to do at this time. I run into an UAudio Apollo-Quad interface and use UAD Plugins for recording, mixing and mastering. I also use extensive Kontakt Native Instrument plugins and samples, as well as AmpleSound Guitar and Bass, and Toontrack Superior Drummer. I use two separate external hard drives - one for my sessions, the other for most of my sampling libraries. Should I go for a Mac Mini or should I stick with a MacBook Pro for my new system? |
