Could not complete the Import Audio command because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/148093/ProTools/NewFileLibs/Cfd/MacBuild/../MacOS/Cfd_ImportAudioDialogMacOS.mm", line 559.
anyone know what this means?

Part of the problem could be that both of you are running PT11 in ElCapitan and as of right now that combo is not supported and more likely than not never will be supported by Avid. So you are on your own if expecting help from Avid. And I doubt people here will be able to give you more help in fixing this specific problem.
