Lights on Mbox 2 blink on and off. PT can't see it

Lights on Mbox 2 blink on and off. PT can\'t see it

I just bought a Mbox 2 for my G4 laptop, system 10.3.9. I have previously been using this laptop and PT 6.9.2 successfully with a Digi 002R.

I installed the PT LE 6.8.1 that came with the Mbox2. A couple of times I got the black screen of death but I eventually was able to get the computer running. Now when I hook up the Mbox2 via USB, the lights on the front of the unit blink on and off, and when I launch PT 6.8.1 it says it cannot see the Mbox and to make sure its not running on AC3 or something like that. Any suggestions??
