Fader lights on Digi002 blink sometimes? Defective

Hi, I've noticed when I use Pro Tools that my channel displays on 3 and 4 on the Digi 002 blink sometimes (or start to fade). What does this mean? Should I send the Digi 002 in for repair while my warranty is still in effect?
