Default new Mackie Control.. vs. old Mackie HUI

Just wondering if anyone is using this control surface yet? Will it intergate with PT Le like the old Mackie HUI?

Big benefit I see if the option of adding aditional fader banks.....

Currently the Mackie Control does not work with PTLE.

There was a big thread on this recently. You'll probably find it if you do a search. Apparently Digidesign says mackie should do the integration and Mackie says Digidesign should do the integration.

I'll do it if I can get the right resources and information from both companies. I've initially contacted Mackie to get their development kit, but they want a complete proposal, so until I have time to do that we probably won't get anywhere on it.

I'd be all over a Mackie Control, if they worked with us.

I've been using Mackie HUI on a Mix system and on my Le, its very usefull the have touch sensitive faders on hand. But theirs alot of functions that I dont use on the HUI. Also, I dont use the monitoring section, I prefer to listen directly the output of my converters (Lucid DA9624).
So the Mackie control would be perfect for me.
And for the price... way better than the hui.

Thanks for the reply guys,

Sounds like a damn shame that Digi and Mackie can't get their act together over this intergation... then again looks like each has its own seperate priorities now since PT 4 was released with HUI intergration.

Ostrich99, would love to get my hands on any project you come up with doen the track for the Mackie Control.... I intend holding off on buying for a while.. send me an e-mail [email protected] if you do come up with something...

the Mackie Control for value (wayt cheaper then HUI) and expandability looks like the way to go if we can get it intergrated (if you don;t need the monitoring in HUI).
