Default Latency on D-esser's - Post your favorite!

Hi Community,

For a job (with live broadcasting involved), I need a low latency mixing chain for vocals. Ideally I wanna go with AAX DSP plugins as they produce low to very low latency. I don't wanna compromise the actual vocal sound (yeah, I know, what a concept!) - but I am having difficulty finding a good, low latency de-esser. Ideally I wanna stay under one frame of latency in total (@ 48k that should be 1920 samples) but the whole thing is undermined by the fact that I need to mix on aux channels (since reg. audio channels don't support native plugins when the track is on input) - if I'm on DSP plugs only that off course would not matter. Anyway - Long story short:

What would your lo' latency dream vocal channel be?

I'll start out:

COMPRESSOR
Avid Impact DSP: 9 samples or Avid Smack! DSP: 10 samples

EQ
MDW EQ DSP: 60 samples

De-Esser?
The Avid one (at 9 samples) I don't care for. Any suggestions?

Now I really love the CLA-76, but that's a (in this context) staggering 2049 samples (native only).
Also the Fabfiler-DS is in my usual arsenal - but that's even worse at 2769 samples (also native only).

Feel free to make your own dream channel in a post, and please post latency in samples next to your favorite (AAX DSP?) plugins.

I would try FF Pro-MB, with no lookahead.

Thx Ryan, - do you have any "latency-specs" for that?

I don't have specs but metric halo's precision multi bad de easer is awesome. I have it as part of their production bundle. I believe there's even a free demo.

You can also add Izotope's Alloy 2 to your list. It has an EQ, deEsser, comp, saturation/exciter and a limiter. Alloy can run in low/zero latency mode though the processing is not as high quality in that mode.
It is an effective plugin for your purpose.
