Default mbox 2 with cubase or other software

can i get my mbox 2 to work with cubase or any other recording software? ive tried time after time to install protools on m computer and have asked plenty of pt savy users (including a friend who works for digidesgn) what my prblems could be and still have no help. im ready to move on to cubase or something different that has a good tech support system and was wondering if anyone knows of any programs that can be used with the mbox2 as an interface?? if not im just gonna sell my mbox2 and protools cds.
