VocALign Project 3 and PT crashing

Anybody else having problems with this? I just bought the Vocalign Project package, have the latest installer installed. I can open up the AudioSuite plug-in, but as soon as I hit "Capture" to analyze the guide track I get a hang in the progress bar, followed by a spinning beach ball, followed by PT unexpectedly quitting.

PT 7.4.2
OS 10.5.5
MacPro 2x3.0 GHz quad core Xeon
4 GB ram

Working fine here on PT8!! is there an earlier version you could try for 7.4.2? plenty of free disk space on your audio drive?

have you checked on another session!

just an observation 10.5.5 ?? i would update to 10.5.8

Not sure if earlier versions are available.
Yes, tons of free space available on audio drive.
Will try it on another session next week.
Re 10.5.8, I believe 10.5.5 is still the last approved os for 7.4.2. Is 10.5.8 considered safe for pt 7.4.2 at this point?

Hi,

from their website...

On Intel Macs - Pro Tools crashes when you select VocALign.
Find the file "VocALign Prefs" (Using spotlight) delete the file and restart Pro Tools, VocALign should then work correctly.

Yes, should have mentioned that i was already through the troubleshooting on their website. Trashed the vocalign pref file, but still same behavior. Thanks for pointing it out.

I had same issue, here's what tech support told me and it worked:

Locate and delete the files "VocALign Project Prefs" and "VocALign
Prefs"

In the folder

<YOUR NAME>/Library/Preferences/

and restart Pro Tools, VocALign should then work correctly.

Yes, thanks. Should have posted yesterday when this was resolved. Trashed the pref files again and then did a full restart of the computer and VocAlign worked fine. I think after trashing prefs you need to restart the computer (or log out maybe) not just quit and restart ProTools.

p.s. anybody know why those pref files don't show up in a spotlight search? I searched for "vocalign" and spotlight did not find them. Tech support confirmed that this is common.
