Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
UA has released new plug-in bundles: Diamond Edition 28 plugs $699, Mix Edition 23 plugs $559, Creative Edition 10 plugs $349. They work both natively or real-time Apollo.
Looks like a good move for new customers, too bad I own all their plugs. Just under $25 a plug, take that Waves! |

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
As a matter of interest they have also released 3 new guitar pedals.
Max, a preamp compressor, Del-Verb, should be pretty obvious what that does, and Galaxy which is a tape delay, possibly a Space Echo emulation of sorts. |

Yes, the new pedals look very interesting. I've been gassing over the compressor, looks like the compressor pedal I've been waiting for. Maybe that's where I'll spend my WUP money
The delay is the Roland, but since they parted ways with UA, it was rebranded the Galaxy. |

I have to say the seem to be hitting the mark with their pedals. Not a bad move on their part.

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
Only problem the bundles are crap. Best value is pick any 2 plugins for 327eur or any 3 plugins for 436eur, depending on what you need.
Their plugin store is also crap -- when you select native, it will also show apollo. If they cannot get that right, the plugins may not be so good either.

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
That store bug drives me nuts, when you finally manage to see what plugins are native... they have a long way still to go migrating to native and their stuff is nice but still too expensive, and like you say the bundles are just not great.

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
Not really seeing that bug here - the Native button shows native plugins, (& those that are native & Apollo compatible).
I agree UAD plugs will always be expensive, but the bundles aren't that bad (unless you already have a ton of UAD plugins)! For me they've been a great move away from Waves :)

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
Also worth noting the Buy 2, Buy 3, Buy 6 bundles are only available to Apollo owners (not for Native purchases).
The bonus however is that Native UAD are available from 3rd party sellers (Audiodeluxe etc). If like me you live outside the US, this is a much cheaper way of buying UAD (Native only) plugins, as they're priced in dollars, & no local taxes

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
Seems there's been a welcome policy change, & Native (Buy 2,3,6) bundles no longer require Apollo hardware to purchase.
Also some good deals to be had with the 1/2 yearly sale : https://www.uaudio.com/uad-plugins.html

Re: Universal Audio releases New Plug-in Bundles
Not to mention their subscription pathway costs you more and you get less than the likes of other subscriptions like Plugin Alliance and Waves. Even when I only factor the actual Waves plugins I would use.
