Digi 002 midi strobe light ?

hmmm ive just bought a used 002. everything works just fine( it did crash my system but there could be a number of reasons why)

But whats up whith the midi in light... its a strobe light.. its conectet to a keybord and blinks all the time ... is that normal behavior ??

if it is.... its ducktape time..

can sombody confirm that thats normal ??
