PCIe HD Core not initializing hardware
So I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this already, but if a Core card basically locks up pro tools on startup, it’s toast, correct?
If I put a known working core in, everything works. Digitest won’t even start with the bad core in the first slot. But when I put it after the good core it shows up in Digitest and passes ironically. But putting it back in the first slot, it’s a no go. |

Re: PCIe HD Core not initializing hardware
Ok, the plot thickens!
So I have this one core card that won’t run in an expansion chassis. And I have another the works fine in the chassis. If I put the one that isn’t happy in the chassis in a Mac Pro it’s fine! Definitely scratching my head on this one. |

Re: PCIe HD Core not initializing hardware
Be careful in all this that you don't have an intermittent bad board, PCB cracks, components physically damaged, etc. especially the capacitors towards the edge of the boards.

Re: PCIe HD Core not initializing hardware
Power supply in the expansion chassis was the problem, everything is rock solid now!
