pro-tools m-powered 8 won't launch

forgive me if this is stupid, but I've been using this version for years with no problem. my hardware is the presonus audiobox 1818VSL on a Mac Pro. out of nowhere it just stopped opening when I try to bring up or create a new session. can't get it to come up at all. any suggestions? I'm getting desperate. thanks

Does the icon for M-Powered 8 just bounce up and down.
What version of OS X are you running?

It's been a while, but isn't Protools M-Powered only for use with M-Audio interfaces? It is also quite old so unless you kept your Mac Pro on an older OS that is compatible, it might not work. I don't remember, did Protools M-Powered still need an iLok to work?

Man… I had forgotten all about that. I bought it with a ProjectMix I/O…. it did require (at least to the best of my knowledge) an M-Audio interface. It did need an iLok as well.

it does require an ilok. it's been running on the presonus without issue for a couple of years. and yes, the icon just bounces up and down. thank you for taking the time.

That's great that it has been running with an AudioBox interface. I found the system requirements for PT-MP9 and it definitely states that only specific M-Audio interfaces are qualified.... So I guess it's possible.... I wouldn't know where to start, I haven't used M-Powered 8 since 2010(?) or there abouts and I ran it with a modified ProjectMix I/O.

Have you checked to see if the iLok dongle is ok?
