Default Re: ProTools crashes after offline bounce

This has been happening over here as well. Usually, it occurs when I have a section of my project selected (vs. the entire project for the final bounce.)

Update: At least as of last night, I was able to prevent the crash in some sessions by deselecting "pad to frame boundary" in the Bounce Mix dialog.

This hit me today. I'm running PT 2020.12.0 on MacOS 10.15.7 and have generally not used the 'pad to frame boundary' option. I started a new project and decided to use it. First mix, no problems. Second mix ... PROBLEMS!

Either online or offline bounce, it would go through the bounce and just not complete -- the bounce dialog box stayed up even though the progress went to the end. Only thing to do was force quit Pro Tools. Then looking at the files in the Finder, PT made the files, but only 4k or some small size, I assume not containing the audio.

Turned off that check box in the bounce settings and bang, works again.

WTF!

Lost over an hour trying thing.

Same problem...same solution...UNCHECK "Pad to frame boundries".

Way to go Avid.

Hi!
I have the same issue and i found a solution:

On my end it helps to turn Soothe 2 off on my pre master channel.

I usually have it running in 4x mode but for exporting it seems to make PT crash.

I use PT Studio 2022.7
Mac Studio Montery 12.5

I have exactly the same problem, Pro Tools Studio 2023.9 - also when dragging midi to an audio track and vice versa.
