Kernel Panic on MDD Mac running PT|HD
Is anyone getting Kernel Panics on the new G4's?
I'm getting them fairly regularly. It seems to occur after running PT|HD v5.3.1 on an OS9.2.2 partition, then rebooting into OS X. I read on Macintouch that certain hardware can cause this, and USB devices in particular. Could this be related to the iLok? Anyone else seeing this? Ray |

Re: Kernel Panic on MDD Mac running PT|HD
I've been running one of the mirrored drive door G4s (the dual 1G model) for the past few months, regularly booting into OS X a few times a week to burn DVDs. I haven't run into any kernel panics. I have the ilok and a USB midi interface, so maybe USB isn't the problem.
BTW, when I boot into X I do it by restarting and holding down the 'X" key until I hear the second chime. I don't use the startup disk menu. If you're booting into X a different way, maybe you should try that. Inaam
