Default Selby ART Bass Trap- any good?

Anyone heard of these before?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/4x-Selby-Acou...item3366cd044a

I could not really find any proper reviews on them. IM looking for some treatments for my home studio setup. MY current room has some serious bass issues (ran some test tones) So pretty much anything i can do to bring it under controll will help.

Or can someone suggest other cheap options i can get in australia?

thanks,
Luke K

I don't know the brand but probably the same as any other foam.
Good to get started with but not as good as custom built for your room.

Those don't help much, and do nothing below 250-300 Hz(most home studio spaces are messed up between 50 and 180 Hz, depending on the room dimensions). I would build some frames and fill them with Owens Corning 703 or 705(4 to 6 inches minimum) and hang them across the corners(as many corners as possible). Remember that where the walls meet the ceiling and floor are also corners, so do the best you can. Ethan Whiner(realtraps.com) shows how to build your own bass traps. Google "bass traps"(without the quotes) for lots more info. Studio foam is only effective at mid to high frequencies(handy for taming reflections from your tweeters, off of the walls and ceiling).
