Default Rosetta + X-HD setup q, listening 2 anything non-Pro Tools

I'm trying to find out whether I could or couldn't listen to other things besides Pro Tools HD with the selected Digi driver, whatever that is...

Wanna know as it influences slightly whether Im gonna get HD I think. If I couldnt listen to iTunes etc through my existing interface and only through built-in then it would be a drag. Some people here seem to find the current DAE a drag.

I'm not up on all this yet, like how it sits with Core Audio, hence my asking. Thanks.

Yes, it works as well as Core Audio ever works.
