Default Anyone Running Bootcamp on an HD System?

Hi there,

I am lookig in to an HD 1 setup with 96IO.

I was hoping to run this with a Power Mac running both Windows XP (SP2) and OSX.

Anybody having success (or problems...) running XP under bootcamp on an HD setup?

Would be very interesting to hear peoples experiences.

Thanks,

Jim.

Works perfectly here - all my audio drives are HFS+ and I use MacDrive to access them (don't install both MacDrive and the Pro Tools NFS+ option).

I tried to run Pro Tools under bootcamp in a Mac Pro and it worked fine but when a RTAS plug-in was inserted. It began to behave in a very weird way, it worked fine for a few seconds and then the audio in the track with the RTAS plug-in inserted jumped backward and when the transport was stopped that track kept on playing for a few seconds.

I tried several times with a fresh installation of windows XP and only Pro Tools and QuickTime installed, and only the digirack plug-ins but it behaved always the same.

Maybe it has to do with the PCIe incompatibility of Pro Tools in windows, I think Rail is not using PCI e cards.

Just curious, but why would one want to run ProTools under Windows on a Mac?

If you are going to run Pro Tools on a PC then
Why wouldn't you want to run Windowz on a Mac ?

Ok, that is a much better question. . . Why would you want to run Windows when you can run OS X, and the Application in question runs on OS X?
