Loading PT 10 Crossgrade Recommendations
I have the discs for PT9 and a macbookpro with mountain lion that I want to get up and running on PT10. I'm assuming PT9 won't work with mountain lion but that I have to load it on there before the upgrade will work. So my plan was
1) Load PT9 2) Download upgrade to PT10 3) Click on PT icon, it fires up in PT10 bug free and I start recording. Does this seem reasonable (other than the optimism about step 3)? Thanks

Re: Loading PT 10 Crossgrade Recommendations
Do NOT install PT9. It is not needed or recommended.
PT10 is a full installer, regardless of whether you crossgrade or buy the full version. You just need to install 10 and that's it. Also, be aware that in PT10, the virtual instruments are installed as a separate item, I believe it's called the Creative Collection. You can install that after you've installed the main program. This is different than PT9 where it was all installed at one time. |

I'm glad I thought to ask.
Thanks!
