error by closing pro tools 9
I bought a new laptop, HP DV7-6B70EB, windows 7.
Pro Tools 9, Native Instruments Komplete 7 and my Yamaha Motif ES8 are working fine with the Mbox2 on USB. Recording and Playback is no problem. Also no problems with Ilok. But I can't get Pro Tools 9 to close. Every time I get an error about 'visual basic'? And my laptop isn't responding anymore. I also can't shut down Pro Tools 9 with the 'task manager'. Any suggestions? Thx. Harry. |

Re: error by closing pro tools 9
I would try reinstalling the Mbox drivers. If that doesn't work, then I would probably uninstall Pro Tools, and the drivers(disconnect the Mbox) and start the install procedure over again. Drivers first, then Pro Tools.

Re: error by closing pro tools 9
I uninstalled Pro Tools and drivers.
Installed everything again, drivers first. (the most recent) still i've got the error: Microsoft visual C runtime library, R6025, pure virtual function call, when I try to close pro tools. and there's a latency with the Komplete 7 instruments. when I press a key on my Motif ES8, the sound is a 'little' bit later. I bought this new laptop last week on thursday. I'm still installing software... instead of playing/producing music. Getting really frustrated here. www.reverbnation.com/harryheylen |

Re: error by closing pro tools 9
Thank you for your answer.
But the problem is solved. I returned the laptop back to the store and I bought a 15 inch MacBook Pro again. In the past this has always been a very stable configuration for me, until some fluid went over my previous MacBook Pro last month and I tried a new Windows 7 laptop. Greetings from Belgium, Europe, Harry. |

Re: error by closing pro tools 9
That's the easiest way to be compatible As good as Pro Tools runs on some PC's, it doesn't work on all, and I think the NI stuff is less than friendly on Windows as well. Glad you're up and running
