Default Intel 915G chipset >Can I still use ProTools LE

I have a new Gateway computer and I have installed Pro Tools LE 6.9 (Mbox) which I owned prior to buying the new computer. After the fact, I noticed that the computer's chipset is not compatable. I am just getting started and new to using Pro Tools. Just trying to record some of my daughter's music. Am I going to run into alot of problems, or can I use it at all?
Any help would be appreciated.
Computer info:
Gateway 507G, Windows XP Home, Service Pack 2, Intel P4 3.0 GHz

Here's the information on that chipset and the Mbox from the compatibility documents and Intel:
http://www.digidesign.com/compato/xp/mbox/intel/

Some users have reported that using a powered USB hub for the Mbox allows use with computers with that chipset and the others listed there.

Can you explain what you mean by a "powered USB hub"?

Thanks,
