This raises a question that bugs me! I like the new 6.4 menus - BUT I can change the designations of plugins. Like 'Auto-tune' is in other instead of 'pitch'. And waves deesser is in noise reduction instead of dynamic whereas ren desser is in dynamics .. confusing!. Or is there a way to order these besides the favorites menu they suggest?

The categories are defined by the programmer.

It is up to the plugin manufacturer to put the "type" of plugin in the code so that Pro Tools knows where to put it. I think most of the organization problems have been fixed but the rest I would imagine would be fixed in the next update to the plugin.

According to George Massenburg the MDW EQ plug-in has been updated awhile ago to appear in the EQ section but Digidesign still have not posted that update. He doesn't know why either.
