Is there any reason that won't work? Sorry for not being clear about my future purchases.

the way I'm going is the TB3 option if it ever gets here. Not sure about all of this that you are saying, but essentially it will eliminate the infamous Dolby Audio Bridge for me and having to launch into that, which is OK but the TB3 option is much better and also will let you go directly into the Mac Studio. Love my new MTRXII and was able to sell my mint MTRX that was barely 2yrs. old to a post house in LA for about 6k with the SPQ, Dante and MADI included, since that it all on the new MTRXII. Someone told me that they had tested running 96khz ATMOS sessions with S6 for days without a problem this way, so there you have it. The rest I am not sure about, but the clocking for me is solid for now. Simply connect one of the TB3 connectors from the installed option card on MTRX II to one of your TB3 busses on the Mac Studio. Yes, you could use either the HD Native engine or a playback engine specific to the TB3 option card (Coreaudio). The TB3 use case for the Dolby Renderer is very clean, powerful and qualified. All of the IO latencies are comparable between MADI, Dante and TB3 so that's not really a factor. In the middle right now so hopefully this will help answer.
