New Application Filter and Multi DAW softkey help
There was some confusion about how the new Multi DAW softkeys worked(not helped by an error in the What's new Guide)
This feature only works for EUCON enabled Apps. There is no way to send keyboard commands to non-focused Apps.
You add the 2nd(or 3rd) EUCON Apps softkeys into your focused App Appset. For example, you are running PT and Logic Pro. You want to have a key Save to both these Apps at the same time. You can add this to one or both of these Apps Softkeys.
Run both Apps(see note below for focus filter). Focus on the App where you want to program the Softkey. Select the softkey location as usual and then add a EUCON command for Save. Then notice at the bottom right of the Softkey Command Editor a new dropdown. In it you should see Logic Pro(or whatever is your 2nd/3rd EUCON App). Select it and add another EUCON command Save. Close out and you now have a Softkey(in the PT Appset) that will save to both DAW's at the same time.
If you want the same to happen from Logic Pro Softkeys you have to the same thing but focus on Logic first, add Save, select PT in the dropdown and save again.
Note: For the EUCON Apps softkeys to show up, you either need nothing in the new Focus Filter list(allows all Apps) or both the Apps you want to program keys for in the list. Once the keys have been programed if you don't want an App to be focused(like Soundflow) you can remove it and the keys will still work.
