Default tracks dropping out...

hey everyone - thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your invaluable info...
this site and you are phenomenal!

i'm new at pt and set up my system a week ago running 002r w/factory bundle

my question is... while in edit or mix views, monitored tracks are dropping out

in reason adapted i have individually created and imported 3 sets of stereo drum loops into pt stereo tracks 1,2,3, i then recorded a mono guitar track on 4 and duplicated it on 5.

this morning i was trying out some plugins on the guitars and while soloing and/or muting various drum/guitar tracks - all of a sudden instead of listening to 3 stereo drum and 2 mono guitar tracks, a track drums or guitar would visually be there but no sound or meter level.

this track is not muted and nothing is else soloed

then switching back and forth from mix/edit windows it would miraculously be there and audible.

any ideas???

my set up:

Inspiron 9200, Pentium M 755 (2.0GHz)
17 UltraSharp Wide Screen XGA+ Display for Inspiron 9200 - fantastic!
1GB, DDR, 333MHz 2 Dimm,for Inspiron 9200
128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, for Inspiron 9200
60GB Ultra ATA Hard Drive for Inspiron 9200
Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 2, English, for Inspiron
8X DVD+/-RW Drive for Inspiron9200
CyberLink PowerDVD v5.1, Decoding Sofware for DVD Drives, for Inspiron
Intel PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g,54Mbps) for Inspiron 9200
oh yeah... chipset is 855

haven't done the davec test yet - perhaps this weekend

Could it possibly be a plug-in bug on an aux input problem that I posted in this 6.7 strange plug-in bug thread or in this 6.7 bug thread . I'm not sure if it is, I just though I'd refer you to this in case it helps.

Some plug-ins will mute in demo mode after a set time.
