This needs to be fixed. This is a serious flaw.
AUTOMATION SHOULD FOLLOW FADES.

Not fixed in 2022.4 either.
A user unable to post here has asked me to post this video: Training now to ignore muscle memory and just use the trim tool instead of the grabber.

I'm also finding now in 2024.10 that unless you have the automation written exactly to the boundaries of the clip, it won't follow when using the trim tool. As we know it's advisable to leave a few frames either side for an insert to 'catch' the automation. This is an absolute pain for edit adjustments Avid, please put this up for fixing!
