Default Setting up Machine Control option on MIX system

I'm piecing together an older MIX system on a PC specifically so I can remote arm my DV Cam deck and do proper laybacks to tape. I see that there is Machine Control 2.0 out there right now, but it says for HD. Does anyone use that successfully on a MIX system for pc, or do I need to get the authorization for the older original version? Are there any Machine Control bugs/issues on a PC that I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance-
