Ellwood,

First, STOP SHOUTING! Caps lock off!

Second, yes you can run both applications on one computer. You have to wire the two together with IAC drivers to get MTC from one to the other and then they will sync. MOTU used to have a tech support document on their site that told how to do it. I think that general consensus is that it's more trouble than it's worth. Make sure both applications work on their own before you try to hook them together.

Third, time to upgrade to at least the most current applications that run on your system. I think DP 3.12 and PT 5.3.1 would be as far as you can go with your hardware. Good luck, and welcome to the DUC.

Bob

Hey. Your Mac might not be compatible with the mix system. A quicksilver G4 will work. A G3 (B/W) will work. Even an upgraded G3 to G4 processor will work. But, I think the 400 MHZ G4's are not not going to work. Upgrading your sofware is a good idea but you probably need a different mac. I tried to use the 400 mhz G4 and it wouldn't see my mix system. Now, My mix system is on a G3 (B/W) ugraded to a 450 mhz G4 processor, 768 mb of ram, Mac OS X (10.3.9) with Pro tools 6.4.1 core audio and Digital Performer 4.61. It runs fine.
