2024.10 Update?

To add to this one - I am noticing one issue here. I'm now unable to spread controls for any Waves plugins across the encoders of my S3. Pressing the encoder does nothing. All other plugin companies work as expected. This could be a related problem to the issue that I and others have been having where Waves plugins cannot be set as Favourites or used as Default EQ/Comp in Pro Tools, as the choices are lost after a reboot.

Is anyone else seeing this issue with controlling Waves using Eucon devices?

We do know of some waves plugin issues...Did this just start with this release? Did you update Waves? We are tracking this as GWSW-17697

Hi Eddie, thanks for jumping in. Yes, this just started with 2024.10. Waves is up to date, but was updated a week or so prior to updating Eucon, and was working fine on the previous Eucon release.

Stange, we found that with 23.11 it was worse. Are you 100% sure it didn't start with the Waves update? We are going back and testing again

Hmmm. I can't say 100% - it's been a very busy couple of weeks, but I've been woking as normal and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (except the Waves stuff missing from Def EQ+Comp/Fav lists) - but that doesn't mean it didn't crop up and I just worked around it without being fully aware. It does seem a little worse now on 2024.10 for me though - I've noticed that trying to spill a Waves insert to the encoders actually stops any subsequent non-Waves plugins from spilling until I restart Eucon.

Does likely seem a Waves issue though - aside from that Eucon 2024.10 seems rock solid.

Out of all the Waves plugins we found this to affect only a subset(about 16). Is that your finding?

I don't use a huge range of Waves these days, but with a quick test just now, RVox seemed to spill fine, but Omni Channel, RS124 and the SSL EV2 wouldn't. After that test, neither would any others - so it's hard to say which will and won't, but the fact that RVox seemed to work fine does seem to support that, yes.
