Avid Dock Control Room / Monitor routes via Scarlett

Hi, Can anyone help me

I'm a new Avid Dock use and see there is a knob top right marked Monitor / control room

I'm just a home studio user with a Scarlett interface (18i20 3rd gen) connected to 2 main outs

Is there some voodoo to somehow assign the Doc to control to control monitor volume. that would be so so handy.

I have as an iterim added a tc Elec "Big Knob". but it's screening isn't great and there's a bit of noise on it

Any voodoo out there to get the Dock to talk to the scarletts main out's

It's all via ProTools

Any help really appreciated

It won't talk to the Scarlett. But you can control a Master Track assigned to your main outputs. Look in the support docs for details.

There is some voodoo but it requires multiple applications and it’s a bit funky.

The easier way is to buy Ginger Audio Sphere and get full monitoring support with Eucon functionality.

^ That might be a better idea if you like it. Not cheap but it would be more like a software Big Knob. I keep forgetting it's Eucon compatible.

With the PT Master Fader you're limited to just controlling the PT session that's open. Sphere would give you overall control.

Hi Will. I figured it out - thanks to your direction and it does do the job - it’s a little clunky in that I forgot to route the Mac alerts and out so an unexpected YouTube video almost shattered next doors windows !

Ill check the Ginger Audio Sphere as well - thanks for thinking of it
