Mbox ok for Mac Workstation?

I had a mini-mac which was underpowered for Protools and previously two PC's which were encountering the same problem. This workstation has more than enough memory and speed (is a g4 with tons of RAM, storage and twin processors). The OS is 10.2.8 but I can upgrade that online and get 7.3 Protools - if it will work?

Can anybody recommend compatability for or against the g4 workstation? I know I can check the websites but they don't have anything between the lines.

If you are asking about the PowerMac G4 and Mbox, see this compatibility page linked from the Mbox section in Support:

Without knowing which Power Mac G4 model you are talking about, I can't say whether or not it would be compatible. You also didn't say which version of Pro Tools LE you have.

The PowerPC Mac mini is supported with the Mbox with Pro Tools LE 7.x:

The first version of Pro Tools qualified with the Mac mini was Pro Tools LE 6.9 for Mac OS X 10.3:
