9HD to 10HD upgrade question:
Can someone who's done the upgrade shed some light:
Does the $999.00 upgrade from 9HD to 10HD require a serial number from a core card, or does it just require the surrender of a 9HD Bundle iLok license?

If you already have a PT9HD ilok, you do NOT have to enter a serial number for a hardware card. I just did the upgrade to HD10.

also note, if you go ahead and upgrade from 9HD to 10HD now for $1k, you DO NOT get a $1k discount if you decide to do one of the HDX hardware exchange packages later...basically you will wind up paying $1k now and another $1k that's built into the crossgrade package.
