Default Plug-In Not Appearing on List

I'm using Protools LE 7.3.1 on a Mac Mini 1.66 Ghz 2 Gig Ram, La Cie HD.

The problem is that I just installed PT and Guitar Rig 2 but GR2 is not appearing on PT when I create a new track and select for it under the drop-down window that comes up with all of those other things (dither, eq, delay, reverb, etc.). It's just not there.

In the manual of Guitar Rig it says to just select it from that menu and use it. The PT literature says consult the plug-in manual. LOL

So, has the plug-in got to be loaded somehow? What the heck do I do?

Thanks!

Dana

Hey,

Are you sure you got the right installer (PPC or Intel)?

Installer for the Guitar Rig? My OS is compatible distinctly to the Protools version I am using, yes. The Guitar Rig software simply comes with 'Mac' or 'PC' and it appeared to have installed correctly. It will standalone and operate well. It simply does not appear on my plug-ins list when I try to use it.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

What he's asking is - are you using the proper Mac installer for your computer. Most newer Macs are based on Intel processors and require and Intel version of the plug-in. If you're using a PPC installers, it's not going to work on an Intel machine.

Looks like you need version 2.2 to work with Intel based Macs.
