Default Problem with maximum Voices/Tracks in Pro Tools 2020.9

Pro Tools (not Ultimate)
Voices reduced from 64 stereo to 32 stereo tracks in 2020.9.
In 2020.5 in System Usage window shows Voices /128.
in 2020.9 shows /64.

96 kHz project!

I can not open 2020.5 projects

Default Re: 2020.9!

In what sample rate those projects are? Is it other than 44.1/48khz?
This is where voices will drop in half.
ProTools 2020.9 Ultimate here and voices are still 384 @44.1/48Khz, nothing has changed.

Cheers!

I have Pro Tools NOT Ultimate.

Once again
In Pro Tools 2020.5 System Usage/Resources/Voices window shows max 128 at 96 kHz or 256 at 44.1 kHz.
Now in Pro Tools 2020.9 System Usage/Resources/Voices window shows max 64 at 96 kHz or 128 at 44.1 kHz.
Where can I buy voice Pack for Pro Tools NOT Ultimate to use PT 2020.9?

Create an empty project @ 44.1 or 48Khz.
Can you check on Setup->Playback Engine window, that the audio interface is the one previously used, for example mine is Ensemble Thunderbolt. Is it other than that, maybe "Soundflower 2ch"? If so select the correct audio interface from the drop down menu.
How many Max voices are shown there? Does it say 256 now?

p.s. Are you on Mac or Windows?

Cheers!

Pro Tools NOT Ultimate never shows Voices count in Playback Engine window.
I always use My RME only card.
I am on Mac.

You're right.
But as far as I can see PT is not making a different voice count if it is a mono or stereo track anymore.

Seems a bit strange to me, if they had reduced the voice count in Pro Tools 2020.9, a lot of people would have voiced their complaints by now.

You should hit the Avid support, to get a clue of what is going on.

I just try to help with some basic troubleshooting, i don't have Pro Tools "Standard", to verify the voice count, maybe someone else can chime in and shed some light on the case. Hope you'll short it out soon though.

Cheers!

And they did,

Now you can´t open more than 64 stereo tracks / 48khz

On 2020.5 you could open 128 mono or stereo tracks...

Avid, your updates are downgrades in reality.

OMG, I really can´t believe a company does this to their customer.

WOW!!!

More users need to confirm this.

If that is NOT a mistake by them, then it is a massive slap in the face for standard Pro Tools users...

Epic failure Avid!
