PT 12.8 ObjectGrabber doesn't work with MIDI Regions
Hi,
I remarked today an error, that you can't "grab" MIDI Regions with the ObjectGrabber. if you select them yellow outlined and try to move them, it's not possible... if there's an AUDIO File included, it works like all the years before... Can someone confirm that on another System??? Best Chris |

Hi, I'm on 12.8.1 and it works fine. Pretty sure it was fine for me with 12.8...

Re: PT 12.8 ObjectGrabber doesn't work with MIDI Regions
Hey there,
I posted a query about the object grabber recently: http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...25#post2442825 Hardly any response. It surely can't just be us two. I find that Shift and Click works for non-contiguous, or random, notes in the MIDI editor but I am unable to select random CLIPS in the main edit window with the Object Grabber... it selects whole blocks of clips instead just like the normal grabber. Anyone any suggestions? We're all ears gang...

I try to make it clearer now: Just MIDI Clips 1) select Object Grabber 2) select 1st MIDI Clip (dragging the ribbon over it by clicking Mouse, hold move over the region, let mouse go) 3) select 2nd MIDI Clip with shift key (dragging the ribbon over it by clicking Mouse, hold move over the region, let mouse go) Both regions have yellow border.. Try to move, only the 2nd clip is moved, still having the yellow border, 1st region looses border, stays at it’s position Other example: 1) select Object Grabber 2) select 1st MIDI Clip (clicking onto it) has NO yellow border!!! 3) select 2nd MIDI Clip with shift key (clicking onto it) as NO yellow border!!!, instead the whole area between the two clips is marked like done with TimeGrabber… I did record also a small screenshot movie, here's the link: https://wetransfer.com/downloads/7d9...3195206/13928d Best Chris Last edited by ChrisSimon; 08-13-2017 at 12:53 PM.
