003 - will not connect!

Hey guys,

My Digi 002 has recently broken and whilst it is being fixed I have borrowed a 003. I am running Pro Tools 7.3.1 and expected it to be recognised straight away but this hasn't happened.

I don't have a copy of the CD's, is there anywhere I can get the correct drivers from? I've searched everywhere including the official Digidesign site but don't seem to be able to find anything.

There isn't any additional drivers needed to run a 003 with PT 7.3.1. PT LE is not interface specific. So long as there's Digi hardware connected, it should launch.

A firmware update is sometimes needed when running a 002/003 on a new version of PT. In which case the user is prompted. However, we taking about a fairly recent version/interface here so I'm not sure this applies.

Have you tried a new (shorter) firewire cable? I know the cables that shipped with some 003's have been problematical. Failing that, post back with a full system spec and we can troubleshoot from there.
