AAE Error -6117?
Hi there
I have ProTools v12 and sadly have not yet been able to use it I've installed it etc, however when I go to open it, I receive an error as follows: "AAE error -6117 was encountered". I can only close the program. I have a PCIe Creative Sound Blaster Z 5.1 Gaming Sound Card and also Realtech Hi Definition Audio on board. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Croxy |

Exactly what build of Pro Tools 12 are you using? Could this by any chance be Pro Tools First?
Be sure you have the proper drivers installed for your sound devices. Be sure you're not sharing your Pro Tools sound device with the OS or anything else. Have you done all of the Optimizations for your OS? Could you please expand a bit on your system specifications. Pleas read all of this. http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=300050

Re the optimisations, yes, I've read through and ticked each of those off. Re Pro Tools, v 12.5.0 Re PC Specs (sorry for not including these originally); - Windows 10 x64 - i7-2600k CPU @ 3.4GHz - Mobo ASUS Sabertooth P67 - 16GB RAM - ASUS Strix Edition GTX970 - Samsung EVO SSD (and WD Black secondary drive) - Sound card & on board as per previous post Does that help?
