Avid S1 EuControl connection drop outs on macOS Ventura 13.1

Hey,

I've read through the forum already but couldn't find my problem here.
Currently running my Avid S1 on macOS Ventura 13.1 with EuControl version 2022.9.0.44. I got a few network issues and EuControl couldn't connect to my Avid any longer although ethernet was stable.

Next I disable IPv6 on ethernet and WiFi. Now I'm getting small dropouts and reconnects. See the log file excerpt:

I've reinstalled EuControl as well but still the error is not gone but better now since I disable IPv6. Any ideas with regards to Ventura 13.1?

How are you connected, what adapter, which switch or router?

Hey Eddie,

well my Avid S1 is connected via Ethernet to a UniFi US-8 Switch. My setup hasn't changed much. Only one thing is that I've upgraded from Monterey to Ventura.

In the past I've used the exact setup but now this network error is popping up although the console is connected and available. When I got this network error I've checked the UPD connectivity on 10.0.55.200:49168 manually in terminal with nectat and all is fine.
Yesterday the connection broke and I had to restart my Mac to make it work again. This is somehow weird. I'll continue testing but I don't what's causing this issue.

Maybe I can reinstall a MacBook Air with Monterey and give it a try?

...OMG found it!

I had another device in my network with the same IP address which was conflicting with my Avid S1. After setting a new IP all is working like a charm.

Sorry for the whole mess :)
I was already wondering because the S1 was working flawlessly.
