Eleven rack stand alone editor

On the other hand I can understand (not sympathize) that Avid wants to lock buyers into using Pro Tools. (If that is what it all comes down to).

Well, apparently there was a programmer who was making a stand-alone editor for the 11R he got so far as asking the people to beta test but suddenly all went quiet on the stand-alone front.

My guess was Avid found out and shut him down quick smart .

So people at Avid tell me why I would upgrade from PT8LE (came with my 11R) to PT10 when what I only really need is an 11R editor?

It is almost 64 Bit.

Moot point, since there is no stand alone editor in versions 8, 9 or 10. The reasons for upgrading at this stage would have nothing to do with the 11R.
