Mbox 2 users and ppl that know bout it

ok this may have been asked already but i am gonna ask this what do you think about the quality of the m-box2 to make a professional sounding track bcuz i know of ppl that used the mbox and it seemed good to them....the thing i am tryin to figure out is that if u have a good mic lets say a neumann tlm103 or a neumann tlm193 and u use the mbox2 to record your track without using any other preamps but you are goin to bring it in a professional studio with protools hd and pre amps that cost thousands of dollars and they also have alot of outbard gear then you have to run each track through the preamps and the other outboard gear do you think this will workout so that it will sound professional

i got my daughter an mbox2 .. and it's a good little
box .. the pres sound good. would i run a $2000 nuemann
down it? .. no ... i'd opt for a better pre-amp myself.
but, the sound is adequate for many usages and as always,
a great performance overcomes most things ;-)

given the fact that the person will not be using outboard gear from their home they will go to a studio and run it through the preamps i think u dont necessarily need a preamp bcuz the studio tends to have better pre's
