Pro Tools HD 5,3,1 TDM plugins

Hi,
a bit "Jurassic" question.....
but please someone can give some help about ?

Need to know if Pro Tools HD (pci cards) and software V5,3,1
are compatible with the Mix TDM plug ins at 44,1- 48 Khz on Mac OS 9

Hi I believe you need the HD cards for 5.3.1 and also most of the plugins that work in version 5 won't work in HD 5.3.1
Im looking for sound replacer license if anyone has one I could buy for apple os9 running pro tools 5.3.1

No I was wrong you can go all the way up to pro tools 6.4 on mix systems

Also : the plugins website but as always they will tell you "there is no support anymore for theses versions", but still you can try.

that's really a shame in these times some very rich people are ordering us not to waste this & that but, these guys are themselves unable to apply their good wills as they are the very first ones to waste it all.

For OS9, you'll need HD Process cards in order to anything other than an HD Core card. HD Accel was supported when Pro Tools 6.2.3 for OSX 10.3.2 was released. What model G4 do you plan to run this on?

i can't remember if they did but the commercial logic might say something like: "you want to use Mix plugins with PT HD 5.3.1 ? : pay for the update"

I guess the best way could be asking the plugin company but, will there be someone old enough to remember that ?

The only thing i recall from OS9.2 is the Kaleidoscope schemes : very fun being able to change OS9 skins ...

Now that I think more about it; I’m using Reverb One from the 5.3.1 install disc to run on 5.1.3 MIX. So they should be both supported.

Remember that iok dongle was released in the time Apple was transitioning from os9 to osx. Some 25 years ago.

It means very very very few plugins authorize with iLok on os9. And the first generation sim card reader does not work in current iLok software, so if you find sim card authorization somewhere, you also need to find very old version of iLok license manager to download the license.

Generally speaking os9 was using floppy authorizations, which also are likely toast if you can find any.
