Which AAX Plug-ins come BUNDLED with the purchase of a new HD NATIVE OMNI System
I have been anticipating buying (upgrading from the old 002) a new Pro Tools HD Native Omni + Thunderbolt package in January. I have been looking around for information regarding which plug-ins will come with it shipped, but haven't found any solid list. I remember it used to be advertised back in the day, which "plug-in bundles" you could get, and you could pick. Money is tight, so I don't feel too excited about getting 11 and everything without any plug-ins to get me started. Does anyone have a definitive list?
Also, are they still offering to ship Pro Tools version 10, so that you may use the old RTAS/TDM stuff? |

Re: Which AAX Plug-ins come BUNDLED with the purchase of a new HD NATIVE OMNI System
You get the satandard plugins with Pro Tools 11, e.g. see http://www.avid.com/US/products/pro-...Specifications Pro Tools 11 only runs AAX-64 plugins.
The Pro Tools 11 license also allows you to run pro Tools 10. So you would get all the standard plugins that come with Pro Tools 10. Pro Tools 10 supports RTAS and AAX-32 plugins. You need to be really careful about supported OSes, especially if you want to co-install Pro Tools 10 and 11 on the same system. All that info and more is on Avid's web site, in the release notes for each Pro Tools release/download. |

As mentioned, you get the standard Protools plugins that cone with all versions, HD or otherwise.
Avid stopped bundling additional plugins a few years ago with the introduction of Protools 9. All they do now is an occasional special offer, which is usually not that much. |

Re: Which AAX Plug-ins come BUNDLED with the purchase of a new HD NATIVE OMNI System
But also remember that if you have any bundled plugins that you got when you bought the 002, most/all of them will work in PT10 and some of them will have had AAX updates and will work in PT11.
I've got a 003, and pretty much all of the bundled plugins I got with that now have AAX updates that work in PT11, the major exception being TL Space, which we believe is being updated for AAX, it just hasn't happened yet. All of the AAX updates except the AIR instruments stuff (if you have Hybrid and Structure as bundled plugins) have been free too.

Re: Which AAX Plug-ins come BUNDLED with the purchase of a new HD NATIVE OMNI System
Good point Nigel.
I think the OP was remembering bundles that were available with the purchase of HD systems, and I remember this as well. If you bought an HD1, you got a few extra plugins, HD2 got you more, and HD3 got you even more. And I remember that depending on which system you bought, you had a choice of which extra plugins you could get out of a list of offered ones. And they were nice ones like Eleven, Revibe, Reel Tape Suite, and so on. But as mentioned, they pretty much stopped this around the time of Protools 9. |

Yeah nst7 I'm sure you are correct, I read it that way too, but maybe he has some RTAS stuff from his old 002 purchase that is available as AAX now ... and hasn't thought about the updatability of those.
He may have things like the bomb factory and moogerfooger stuff for example.
