\"write to all enabled parameters\" shortcut not working
Forgive me as I am not near the mix stage that this occurred on, so I am trying to explain this from memory.
One of the stages I freelance at is a windows xp based 7.3 system. I am using the Waves gold bundle, basically Q10, RComp and L1 plugs. Confirming that all the plugs are auto enabled and the tracks are in touch/trim mode and the plugin button is active in the automation window. When a select a section of regions, adjust eq and hit proper shortcut keys, I get a dialogue window that says something to the affect of"automation could not be written...check to make sure automation is enabled etc etc." However if I go up to the edit menu and select with the mouse, the "write to all enabled parameters" it works fine. What is it with the short cut keys on PC that make this different than the shortcut keys on the Mac (which I am more familiar with). Sorry for the vague description, it's the best I can do at the moment. Thanks in advance.

Re: \"write to all enabled parameters\" shortcut not working
This is a (long time) known bug in Waves 5.x for Windows.
AFAIK it won't be fixed until the next major upgrade. (Waves 6.0?) Kim. |

Re: \"write to all enabled parameters\" shortcut not working
To answer my own question....
I found out today that if you close the plug-in window, then use the shortcut keys, then re-open the window you will find that the automation has been written. It seems that the Waves plug-ins take control of the input keys while open. Stupid work around is hitting the "plug-in" button on your controller of choice (mine happens to be pro control) to hide the plug, then hit it again when you have written the automation. Hope that helps people in the future.

Re: \"write to all enabled parameters\" shortcut not working
Hi Eric,
I find that if I put the edit window into focus but clicking on it anywhere, the easiest place being the active window border, you can use the snap shot command. Best, Brandon
