Default S6L<-->Profile EQ not compatible

Just a finding from today.
Same CH EQ settings on a Profile and an S6L results in very different response.
(see attached picture)
Settings: HFP@92Hz
EQ1: 147Hz, Q=0.5, +5.4dB
EQ2:851 Hz, Q=1.91, -15.8dB

Buss EQ: EQ3 (7-Band):
Q=0.53, 20kHz, +12dB

the difference is not minor....
I do not know, if this is the desired behavior, or just a bug...
Just did want to let you know.

cheers,

Tamas

They are two quite different algorithms.

Are the Algorithms the same in the S3L and S6L or are the S3 users once more left out of innovation and the new algorithm comes with the 5.x software that probably wil never appear on the S3L?

Ist there someone who could confirm or test if the different/new EQ algorithm is also used in the S3L-X ?

I don't have full info, but AFAIK EQ was recalculated for S6L simply because of a different sample rate used. This may have included intentional behavior updates. Not really sure if S3L has any changes related to TDM systems or S6L.

Got an answer today through email, so here it is for all of us:

The Algorithm in the S3L is the same as in the older systems, the new one is used in the S6L only.

But due to the different technical Plattform ( TDM vs. AAX DSP ) there still could be a little audible difference.
