Default HOW can you import a "stereo" WAV. file into PT as a "mono" file?

how can i get a stereo wav. file from a cdrom imported into my session as a single mono file?

i can do it with audio files with Toast Extractor, but how do you do it with a Wav file? can it be done......a stereo file imported as a mono file for the session..........it would be nice since the wav. samples are already cut up so perfect.......where as the audio files still need to be cut up.......

You'll have to import it as stereo and then bounce it down to a mono file, then re-import it.

Your other option is to use a program like to peak to do the stereo->mono conversion, then import the file.
