After "Big Sur", it is no longer possible to back up data including the system to the time machine as it is, and it seems that Pro Tools cannot be restored normally with the migration assistant. What kind of backup measures do you all take?

Hi, welcome to the community.
Stay away from Migration Assassin, it is nothing but trouble.

I use Time Machine for my system and internal SSD system info only. If I do a restore I don’t restore the applications, only the user prefs and info. I’ll then manually re-install all of the applications.
Another option is to use Carbon Copy Cloner https://bombich.com/ It works well. I also backup important files to the cloud regularly. That way I know I can always replace them if I need to do a full wipe and clean install of the OS |
